School-Located Vaccination Strategies to Increase Child/Adolescent Immunization Rates During COVID19 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many children and adolescents in the United States have fallen behind on recommended routine immunizations. As schools reopen in-person for the fall, school-located vaccination (SLV) clinics can help support improved access to COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible students and their families, while also providing critical opportunities for the seasonal flu shot and “catch up” on routine vaccinations.

 

Please join the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy and the Association of Immunization Managers on September 16th for a virtual symposium that will bring together public health officials, leaders in K-12 education, health care providers, and other stakeholders from across the immunization community to share best practices for improving childhood and adolescent immunization rates in school settings. Speakers will discuss innovative models and lessons learned for school-located COVID-19 vaccination sites, communications strategies for engaging families and building vaccine confidence and opportunities to strengthen partnerships between public health, education, and health care providers to improve child and adolescent vaccination rates.
