Cahaba Walk & Learn - Educator Workshop

 The Cahaba River - 6 CEUs - November 6, 2021

Join the Legacy and the Cahaba River Society for this exciting workshop on the Cahaba River.  This workshop provides participants with an overview of the Cahaba River - Alabama's most biodiverse river.  As we walk along a stretch of the Cahaba River we will explore above and below the water's surface and discover the flora and fauna that live there.  We will learn about the animals that call the Cahaba home and what their presence means to the health of the river.  Topics and activities include macro-invertebrate sampling, water quality testing, Native vs Invasive Species, and a more!!

In addition to the scheduled activities, participants enjoy networking with other educators.  We look forward to seeing you at this exciting and educational environmental workshop.

Teachers receive valuable classroom resources and activities, as well as 6 hours of CEUs for attending.  The workshop fee covers lunch and some workshop materials.

**All Covid-19 protocols and guidlines will be observed, including Social Distancing. Face masks are encouraged.**
