IDEA JOURNEYS IN PHLIANTHROPY

The Virtual Philanthropy Masterclass presented by The Discovery Group will invite community members from across Vancouver Island to come together to share a meal, share ideas, and share perspectives on all things IDEA and philanthropy. 

The event will showcase a panel of inspiring individuals who are fostering the principles of inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) in the community and philanthropic sector. Included with the event registration fee, attendees will have the option to receive a "lunch box" in advance so that the group can enjoy meal as they learn and network together.

The event will begin with the panelists sharing their stories along with tangible practices and resources for attendees to be able to take away and implement in their personal and professional lives. During the second portion, attendees will cycle through breakout sessions with each of the panelists where they will engage in facilitated discussion that will encourage everyone to dig deeper into IDEA topics currently impacting their work in the philanthropic sector. The session will end with an accountability exercise where attendees will be challenged to develop their own personal IDEA goals that AFP will help them work on throughout the year.
