The Art of Questioning and Inquiry Learning in the Secondary Classroom

How do you ask a question that listeners want to answer?  A question that causes someone to be curious and inquire about a topic?  A question that prompts skill building?  This training will focus on the art of asking questions.  From using the inquiry-based method within your classrooms to helping students resolve conflict, understanding the fundamentals of creating a successful question allows you to help your students become curious problem solvers.  We will discuss why questioning is important, the different types of questions that can be used with differing goals in mind, and how you can implement this questioning strategy within your classroom with specific lesson plan examples.

Grades 7-12

Participants will be eligible for 2.5 hours of professional development credit.

*All participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.
