August 18, 2022 VIRTUAL Presbytery Meeting 

The Leadership Team wishes to thank Enslow Park Presbyterian Church, who graciously volunteer to host this meeting. On May 6, Enslow Park suffered flood damage, and the church continues to recover from this flooding. At its meeting on July 13, the Leadership Team learned that hosting the meeting would cause a burden to the church. Therefore a decision was made to hold the meeting using the Zoom platform. The Presbytery looks forward to gathering at Enslow Park in the future.

For the educational focus, we will be joined by Rev. Forrest Claassen, Synod of the Trinity Executive. He will speak on the importance of antiracism training in a presentation titled "Lessons Learned."

Before the meeting, you are invited to watch the Overview of the Day: Highlights and What to Expect video, which will be posted on the presbytery website and emailed to participants no later than August 15. It is for all who would like to know more about the business of the day, but it is especially helpful for first-time attendees.

All participants are invited to attend a brief pre-Presbytery Zoom orientation at 7 p.m. Monday, August 15. It will review information on being prepared, process, how to seek the Moderator's recognition, and voting. Participants who are unfamiliar with the Zoom platform are strongly encouraged to attend this orientation. 

The registration deadline is Saturday, August 13. Registrants will receive log-in information on August 15. Please note that for this meeting, ALL participants must register individually so that the Zoom information can be sent to them in advance. Ministers and churches who need to request an excused absence should contact the presbytery office at office@wvpresbytery.org or 304-744-7634.
