Details for our July/August Summer Sizzler Series

Class will be held at the kitchen at Community Nursery School, 2325 Mass Ave in Lexington.

Classes are designed for a mixed age group of kids age 2.9 years-5 with an adult. It is mandatory that a parent or adult (over 18 years) participates in the class with the children.

We are delighted to include older siblings, up to age 7, for an additional charge. Siblings under age 2 years 9 months are welcome free of charge. Parents are responsible for overseeing all of their children.

Our class size is limited to 12 families, to allow as much hands on for each child as possible.

At each session we will cook, and sit down together to enjoy our lunch. The majority of our program is held in the air conditioned kitchen but we have an expansive outdoor playground to enjoy a picnic, or to take a break from our cooking.

Friday July 28, 11:00-1:00 Wacky wonderful waffled Grilled Cheese with local Tomato

We love cheddar, and it is fun to grate and make this sandwich on our waffle makers!

We will talk about different colored tomato- Did you know there is a yellow, and red, and black tomato. Do you think they all taste the same? Do they all have the same shape?

For a super delicious summer dessert, we will make up a batch of tiny blueberry hand pies

We reserve the right to make a substitition to the menu, giving us the opportunity to take advantage of local products when available!
