PrideWorks Group Agreement

  • .We want PrideWorks® to be safe and fun for everyone! I agree to these guidelines help us keep it that way!

  • *

EXPRESS MYSELF: I will ask questions and take the opportunity to learn and challenge myself. I will respect and accept individual differences in dress, speech, comfort level, and knowledge of LGBTQ+ info. I will be inclusive and not use language that might put someone down (anti-LGBTQ+, racist, classist, sexist, or ableist, etc). If I accidentally say something that hurts someone, I will be open to listening and learning. If I am offended, I will try to educate them - call them in, not out.

  • *

RESPECT OTHERS!! I will express myself respectfully and listen to what others are saying, even if I do not agree. It is ok to ask questions about what was said. I will get enthusiastic, informed consent before asking personal questions or making physical contact with others. It is ok to say ‘no.’ I amhere to meet new people and learn new things! I will save the romance for another time. I will respect presenters by giving them my full attention and not distract others in using my device.

  • *

BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME!!  I won’t miss out! I will be on time and remain in my workshop while it is in session - not in hallways and other areas of the buildings.  I will remain AT the PrideWorks Conference and INSIDE until my group leaves.  I am a guest. I will follow the rules and directions of the facility and its staff, and pick up after myself.

  • *

SAFETY & CONFIDENTIALITY If I am uncomfortable, I will find an adult to support me. I will respect others’ boundaries, knowing that everyone has different comfort with physical space and conversation topics. I will be careful not to identify other people when I share what I learned. When posting on social media I will make sure no one gets ‘caught’ in my post that might not want to be famous.

  • *

I agree to ask someone at PrideWorks if I do not understand any parts of this Group Agreement.

  • *

I agree to share the Group Agreement with anyone I am registering as part of a group and make sure they understand it.
