February 5, 2013 Yakima Chapter Meeting - Alaska Way Viaduct Replacement

The Alaska Way Viaduct project is a multi-phase project to replace the State Route 99 bridge/viaduct along the Seattle waterfront with a new viaduct and tunnel. To complete the project, the world’s largest-diameter tunneling machine had to be custom built and will begin tunneling the summer of 2013.
