Students, Sports and the Second Generation: New Directions in French Films on the Holocaust

Since 1945, hundreds of films have been made on the Holocaust. This large body of work presents a challenge to twenty-first-century filmmakers who might think of making a new Holocaust film. Are there still new things for them to say about the Holocaust, and new dimensions of the tragedy to show on screen?
