Medical Device Manufacturing: Preparing for New UDI and Labeling Requirements

The FDA has established a unique device identification system to adequately identify medical devices through their distribution and end use. When fully implemented, the label of most devices must include a unique device identifier (UDI) in human- and machine-readable form.
