Another continental vulture crisis: Africa’s vultures collapsing toward extinction

Vultures face many threats including poisoning and trade in traditional medicines. Dr. Ogada presents the first estimates of a 30-year pan-African vulture decline. Several populations have declined by 62% over three generations. Six appear to qualify for Critically Endangered status by the IUCN. Dr. Ogada will discuss trends and threats to vultures
