Evacuation Day! Celebrating New York City’s Forgotten Independence Day
Celebrate New York’s own Independence Day on November 18th at historic Fraunces Tavern. Known as “Evacuation Day” (which occurred on November 25, 1783), this holiday was once considered New York’s equivalent of Independence Day and marks the withdrawal of the British from New York City in 1783. Please join us for a uniquely New York event!
