May 25th, 2016 - CADC Re-certification - Effects of Trauma

NIDA reports that about 2/3 of individuals who have a substance use disorder have a history of experiencing trauma. PTSD is a common co-occurring condition for individuals with substance use disorders. Treating these clients can also lead to burnout and eventually vicarious or secondary trauma. Participants will learn about the effects of trauma.
