  • The International Coalition of Art Deco Societies (ICADS), the 20th Century Society USA, the Chicago Art Deco Society (CADS), the Detroit Area Art Deco Society (DAADS), and the Art Deco Society of Washington (ADSW) (The Societies) will make every reasonable effort to carry out the program as planned. However, dates, schedules, program details, and costs are subject to change and revision. Please note that weather conditions can force changes to, or cancellation of, the program. The Societies reserve the right, without penalty, to (i) alter the published itinerary (ii) withdraw the program, and/or (iii) decline to accept any person as a program participant, or to require any participant to withdraw from the program at any time, when such action is determined by the Societies to be in the best interests of the health, safety, or general welfare of the group or the individual participant.

  • By registering for this program, the participant agrees that there are many risks and uncertainties inherent in any event and/or tour, including, but not limited to, the hazards of various modes of transportation, forces of nature, acts or omissions of foreign governments, terrorism, war or insurrection, theft, illness, and damage to person or property due to the negligent acts or omissions of tour staff or others.

  • In consideration of, and as part payment for, the right to participate in the program, the participant, on behalf of himself, his dependents, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, agrees to release , waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Societies and their officers, Board members, employees, and agents from liability now and in the future for personal injury, death, property damage or loss suffered by any person in connection with this program, even if caused by the negligence (but not the reckless, willful, or fraudulent conduct) of tour staff or other related persons or entities. No warranty, either express or implied, regarding the suitability, safety, insurance or other aspects of any hotel, or other such transportation, tours, services, products or facilities. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant. In addition, the participant certifies that he or she is mentally and physically capable of full participation in this tour.

  • Participant is aware that in addition to the usual dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which participant may not be prepared, weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change, encountering unpredictable terrain, falling, loss of control, and/or other man-made or other naturally occuring obstacles. Participant knowingly and freely assumes and accepts all of the inherent risks of the proposed walking tour and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting there from. The Terms and Conditions hereto set forth, and any posted revision to said Terms and Conditions, shall remain in full force and effect while participant participates in the program. Registration can be canceled with 72 hours for full refund minus $25 processing fee. Refunds beyond that time at the sole discretion of the Societies.
