Full Kids Garden Club 2017

Cre*Ate Garden Club for Kids will be teaching your young ones how to sow, grow, harvest and prepare their own fresh food. With our planter garden your kids will try their hands at growing edibles and preparing yummy recipes with our harvest. One hour session every Thursday in the summer for two age groups: 4 - 8 year olds and 9 to 12 year olds.

  • The Cre*Ate Kids Garden Club is offered by Poppy Innovations in partnership with the Calgary Farmers' Market and Agrium. It is a place for your kids to come to learn how healthy plants and healthy bodies grow because we will eat what we create! Sign up for the FULL program at a discounted cost or as many dates as you can for your child to have the best experience. Please note there are separate session for children aged 4 to 8 and children 9 to 12. Check that you have selected the session corresponding to your child's age at the time of registration.

I hereby release Poppy Innovations Ltd and all its contractors and partners from all claims, demands, losses, actions, suits or proceedings rising out of the participation in any program being held. I understand that Poppy Innovations Ltd has tried to create a safe and controlled environment for participation and has established rules for participation in the kitchen that must be followed. It is understood and expressly agreed to by the Parent/Guardian that by making payment for the class or event the Parent/Guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sharon McCormick, Poppy Innovations Ltd and contractors, from any and all liability of any kind for any damages and/or injuries incurred in connection with the parents/students participation at the class and understands and accepts the risks inherent in gardening in the outdoors, the preparation, cooking and eating of the food with other people.

Things to Know

  • 1. The garden club is not an allergy free zone. 2. The activities take place outdoors, children should bring a water bottle and wear a hat. Children with long hair should have their hair pulled back to avoid contamination in the food. 3. Payment is due at time of registration. 4. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your class. 5. Registrations cancelled 30 days prior to class may be eligible for a refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days and more than 14 days prior to the class may be eligible for a credit. 6. Parents or guardians acknowledge the Waiver and Release Form when completing payment for the class. 7. Participants will work in groups to prepare food. 8. Have fun and be safe. Failure to comply with garden rules and policies may result in removal from the class without a refund.
