Heritage Sandy Springs Outdoors Club - Island Ford New Years Day Hike

While this is not a mountain trail, there are some moderate slopes and rocky terrain that make it fun and challenging. The views of the Chattahoochee River and wildlife are amazing on this section of trail. We'll start at the first parking lot on the left and hike the lollipop (straight out/back with loop in the middle) to complete 3 miles.
