Race to Lead: Confronting the Nonprofit Racial Leadership Gap

Studies show the percentage of people of color in leadership roles has remained under 20% for the last 15 years, even as the country becomes more diverse. The Building Movement Project conducted a survey to understand the causes of this disparity. To increase the number, the practices and biases of those governing nonprofits need to be addressed.
