Volunteer SignUp for Aspen-Snowmass Event, September 16-17, 2018

What you get when volunteering!

  • *Free hotel for up to 3 nights (Sat-Sun-Mon) at Wildwood Hotel (shared room). If you sign up with a friend you can get your room together. *Free track afternoon at Aspen Motorsports Park (Woody Creek Raceway) driving your own car (12-4:30pm Saturday the 15th) – Volunteers only. *Free Sunday Dinner ticket (Food, Band, Beer and wine for 21+) in paddock area. *Free event t-shirt and poster. *Track side view of this fantastic race. *We will provide lunch, water/soda, whistle, ear plugs, and instruction during the day, both days. *There are several other parties throughout the weekend. *Must volunteer both Sunday the 16th and Monday the 17th.. *Must be on site for volunteer meeting Saturday late afternoon/early evening and 7:30 am both days (in paddock area). *Day Schedule is 7:30 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, 7:30 to 4 pm Monday, with many breaks, lunch provided. Racing starts at 9 am.

What does a crowd control volunteer do?

  • *Stand track-side in designated Crowd Control areas *Communicate with Corner Marshals via flags being ready to assist with local pedestrian and car traffic. *Informing spectators, pedestrians and vehicles of current track closures or open for traffic. *Watching the Corner Captain for visual signals for “track open” and “track closed”. *Using the whistle to warn spectators not paying attention and in the wrong place. *Signaling the Corner Captain if there is a problem. *Helping to make a fun and safe event. *Wear all cotton white or very light colored clothing (long sleeve shirt and long pants) with closed toe shoes.
