  • *How do I apply? Fill out the application. Our Vendor Committee will select the vendors based on quality and variety of products, site appearance, past experience, and originality. We do not over sell the event and try to give each vendor every opportunity to be successful.

    Do you have liability insurance? Every vendor must carry liability insurance with minimum policy limits of $1,000,000.00 for damage to property. Insurance must include products liability. Upon acceptance into an event, the City of Chesapeake and Chesapeake Rotary, Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, their agents, volunteers, officers, and employees must be named as additional insurers. A valid certificate of insurance is due by November 30, 2017.

    Do you have a permit from the City? Upon acceptance into an event, every vendor needs a license to do business in the City of Chesapeake. Contact the Commissioner of Revenue at 757-382-6738 for more information regarding a business license and tax payments. Upon acceptance, every food vendor must have a temporary food permit on file with the Chesapeake Health Department. Contact the Chesapeake Dept. of Health at 757-382-8600 for more information regarding a temporary food permit.

  • *An officer of your company must sign the Vendor agreement, which will be e-mailed to you upon approval of your application. This vendor agreement protects each of us from any legal circumstances that may arise from your company's participation.

Vendor Agreement

  • THIS AGREEMENT, Made this day of , 2018 by and between CHESAPEAKE ROTARY, party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as "Licensor", and party of the second part, hereinafter referred to as "Licensee". WHEREAS, the Licensor will sponsor the 2018 Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade in and around the area of the City known as Great Bridge on the 1st of December 2018, and the Licensor is desirous of licensing vendor display areas to the Licensee. Licensor agrees to grant unto Licensee a license to a portion of an area located in and around the Parade Route as designated by the Licensor, to be used by the Licensee for the sole purpose of setting up a vendor booth thereon approved by the Licensor for the sole purpose of . Please list any items you intend to distribute to the public.

  • 2. The Licensee agrees to pay to the Licensor immediately upon the execution of this agreement the sum of $100.00 as compensation for the license of the activities on the subject premises and in payment for electrical service as projected by the Licensor based upon the Licensee's application for said license. Licensee shall operate no other instruments, appliances, machinery, or equipment except as specifically stated in the application. 3. Licensee shall be responsible for policing and maintaining a neat and orderly appearance in and adjacent to its booth area. Licensee's failure to do so will require said maintenance to be performed by the Licensor and Licensee shall be charged for the cost of said cleanup and maintenance and hereby agrees to pay same with regards to charges incurred. 4. The vendor booth authorized herein shall be fully operational by 5:00 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2018 and shall be open to the public.

  • 5. Licensee shall obtain any city or state required licenses or permits and shall pay all taxes, fees, and charges prescribed by federal, state or local law. Proof of such licenses shall be presented to Licensor upon request. 6. Licensee agrees that it cannot and shall not assign this granted license in whole or in part without the prior written consent of the Licensor. 7. Licensee, by entering into this agreement, hereby waives any claim against, and hereby agrees to defend, indemnify, save and hold harmless, the Licensor, the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, and all designated members, officers and directors of the Licensor or any subcommittee thereof, from and against any and all claims of any nature for bodily injury or death to persons or damage to property occasioned by the negligence or willful misconduct of the Licensee or the above-named persons or parties in connection with the use of the premises by the Licensee, or occasioned by the condition of the premises. Licensee accepts the premise "as is"

  • and assumes all risks incidental to its use and condition. Said indemnification includes the legal costs incurred by Licensor, its agents, employees, officers, directors or members in defending said claims or suits. 8. The Licensor reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time if in its sole judgement the laws of the City or State are being violated by the Licensee, the provisions set forth herein are violated by Licensee, or if it is determined that the display will be or is being operated in a manner that is damaging or detrimental to the reputation of the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade or the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, or the Licensor. In the event of such termination, any deposit or sum which has been made will be forfeited to the Licensor. 9. Licensee shall have the right to terminate this agreement at any time prior to seven days before the first day of the Parade (December 1, 2018), with refund of any deposit or sum being given to the Licensee.

The Licensee's representative by his signing of this Agreement states that he has full authority and power to execute this document and realizes that the Licensor is relying on his presumed and stated authority in entering into this Licensing Agreement.
