T1D Adult Retreat 2019 at Bearskin Meadow Camp

Join us for our annual Adult Retreat at Bearskin Meadow Camp. The weekend will be filled with community, education, recreation, and FUN!

  • Life with type 1 diabetes can be hard, and everyone needs a support network, especially when it's as fun as this one! Join us for an ADULTS-ONLY weekend filled with community, recreation, and diabetes education at Bearskin Meadow Camp. This conference is for you whether you have T1D yourself, you are a support system for a person with type 1, or you simply want to know more. Come enjoy speakers, activities, camaraderie, and the beautiful outdoors with us! Bring your friends or come alone; either way you will have new Diabuddies in no time!

  • Operated by DYF, Bearskin Meadow Camp has provided diabetes camp programs for over 81 years. We are the premiere provider of diabetes education and we want YOU to join our community.

  • At Bearskin Meadow Camp, all participants sleep on open-air decks under the beautiful Sierra Stars! We provide twin-sized bed frames and mattresses, and you bring a sleeping bag or warm bedding. We do have indoor restrooms near each deck with hot water, as well as a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen to cook you delicious meals during your stay. We have a very limited number of indoor rooms for those with severe medical conditions or who need special accommodations.

    Do you need indoor housing during your stay? Please note that these rooms are reserved only for those who need them most and you will receive a separate email confirmation with your status.

I realize that there is some risk of injury in all activities and play. Some of the activities include swimming, hiking, rock climbing, playing field games, dancing, having campfires and taking trips. While all prudent safety precautions are taken by staff and volunteers, these and other activities naturally involve some risk to participants. We assume all liability for activities we choose to participate in or any activities we allow our children (dependents) to participate in.
