Courtesy Thai Language

In Thailand English is not commonly spoken by Thai nationals and almost unheard entirely in our villages. It is important to know some courtesy Thai phrases that will make your trip more enjoyable as you engage with the locals.

Village Briefings and Debriefings

Briefings for each village will be provided prior to leaving for the village to prepare you for the specific issues you may encounter, this time also gives you time to decide on how you will perform your particular role in that village. Debriefings are necessary after a village visit to discuss what went wrong, what went right and what needs to be changed.

Weekly Village Field Work

Each week you'll enter a different isolated tribal village with the Jungle Water field team providing follow-up on previous projects. Each village trip will be overnight deep in the jungle with experienced trekking guides from our primitive villages. Expect no electricity or no running water. We provide training, transportation, oversight, lodging and meals while in the villages.

Elephant Care and Conservation

All Jungle Water guests will spend a day providing ethical Elephant Care and conservation. You will learn elephant voice commands, how to interact with and feed your elephant and finally walk and bathe your elephant.

Farewell Dinner and Acknowledgements

This event marks the end of your service-adventure with Jungle Water. You'll receive a certificate of your accomplishments and appreciation gift from our villages to thank you for choosing to travel for purpose.
