Brown Bag: Madeline L. Zehnder, "Pocket-Sized Nation: Cultures of Portability in America, 1790-1850"

In this Brown Bag lunch talk, Madeline L. Zehnder will discuss her current research at the Clements Library as recipient of the Mary G. Stange Fellowship. A PhD candidate in the University of Virginia's Department of English, Zehnder is working on a dissertation about portable objects in early American literature and material culture.
