Supported Decision Making and Alternatives to Guardianship

Supported Decision-Making is a model to support people with disabilities in making and communicating their own decisions about their lives. It is not a program or a policy but a belief that we all have the capacity to make good decisions if we are presented with all of our options and choices and are surrounded by good supporters.
