Challenging Racism: Learning How Interfaith Conversation

Our Interfaith conversation is led by two facilitators who are people of faith. They supplement our core Challenging Racism: Learning How program with meditation, prayer, and materials that examine race and racism through the lens of any faith. Tuition $1600. Partial scholarships or sponsorship by your faith community may be available.

Workshop Information

  • IMPORTANT: Challenging Racism: Learning How is an 11 session program. Sessions will be in the evenings from 7:00-9:30 pm. Interfaith Conversation Dates 11/04/19, 11/19/19, 12/03/19, 01/07/20, 01/21/20, 02/04/20, 02/11/20, 02/25/20, 03/03/20, 03/17/20, and 03/30/20 [Snow Date: 03/24/20]

  • Based on what you know about your calendar now, and considering child care arrangements you might need to make, can you commit to attending all of the dates for Challenging Racism? Participation is a very important part of these conversations, because each evening builds on the earlier sessions. Participants are expected to attend all 11 sessions, it is not a drop in program. Of course we know that things happen… children get sick and so on. But we want to see everyone regularly!

  • You are encouraged to speak to your faith community leadership about defraying some or all of your tuition. Last year’s inaugural Interfaith Conversation was partially funded by Rock Spring Congregational United Church of Christ, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and the NOVA Catholic Community. You might able to receive financial support from your private or public employer, including the federal government.
