Bill Smith Memorial Lecture - "Access to Justice for Transgender Inmates"

Edmo v. Corizon was heard by the Ninth Circuit in March of 2019, where the court ruled that the state of Idaho must provide gender confirmation surgery for transgender inmates. In this lecture, Alexander Chen will use this case to explore the important legal intersections of LGBT advocacy, healthcare access, and criminal justice reform.
