Lecture: The Roswell Railroad

The Roswell Railroad began operating in 1881 and continued to operate until 1920. One man was in charge of the railroad for the entire duration, Isaac Roberts. Roberts was responsible for the development and operation of the railroad. This entrepreneur played a key role in Reconstruction and built a home in Roswell, which stands today.
