Fall Speaker Series: The evolutionary ecology of pleurocerid snails

Snails in the family Pleuroceridae are native to North America and are largely endangered or threatened. I will describe how we marry specimens collected in the early 1900’s with digital photography and 3D printing technology to analyze the effect shell architecture has on the ability of these snails to resist being dislodged by moving water.
