Fall Speaker Series: How winter road salt hurts water quality and what we can do about it

Road salt is used in winter to melt snow and ice on pavement. While it increases transportation safety, the salt also damages infrastructure, wildlife, and water quality. Join us to find out about a citizen science-initiated project that shows how invertebrates are impacted by road salt and what cities are doing to balance safety and nature.
