MISS RIVER RECREATION QUEEN PAGEANT SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST GUIDELINES 1.The 1st runner up will fulfill the obligations of the queen if at any time during her reign she is dismissed or relinquishes her title 2.This is a scholarship pageant, cash money may also be awarded 3.The queen and court will be expected to participate in various promotional activities, parades and festivals throughout the year 4.Punctuality is expected at all events 5.Sashes, crowns, tiaras are to be kept clean for all events 6.Responsibilities of the queen and court- represent the River Recreation Festival to the best of her ability, high standard moral conduct at all times, refrain from use of illegal drugs, intoxicating beverages or use of profanity 7.Responsibility to be in contact with Jr. Miss and Miss Firecracker 8. Not fulfilling obligations of the Queen title can result in forfeiture of scholarships

8.Dress code- absolutely no jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tube tops, unless otherwise stated, dresses, skirts, skorts no shorter than approximately 4” above the knee, formals are to be worn for the queen pageant 9.Grade point average must be 3.2 or higher 10.Entering grades 9th- 12th in high school only for school year 2021-2022, born female 11.Pageant will be held July 2nd must be available July 2nd and July 3rd 12.Can hold no titles for 2021-2022 year 13.Must be a resident of Gallia County and attend local school 14.A photomust be submitted for all pageant contestants. Contestants must wear a flattering shirt of personal choice for the photo. All shirts must be in good taste. Photos should be sent to jwellington@galliacounty.org no later than April 16th and should contain the word "headshot" in the subject line.
