2022 - Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade (Commercial Application)

Parade Entry Information

Height Restrictions: No floats to exceed 13 feet in height due to overhead power lines. Length Restrictions: Not to exceed 50 feet in length without additional entry fee (exceptions require pre-approval from the Parade Committee). Group Size Restriction: With the exception of school marching bands, we request that you limit your group to thirty (30) human participants. If you are a car or motorcycle club, we request you limit your entry to ten (10) vehicles.

Applicants will be notified when their parade application has been reviewed and their application has been accepted or denied. A representative of the Chesapeake Rotary will notify you of your acceptance status via email by October 1st.
* Please acknowledge the following: 1. If using a generator, please have a FIRE EXTINGUISHER on board. 2. Please DO NOT honk your horns in the "television filming area" due to television sound levels. 3. This is a night-time event, please make sure floats and other entries are WELL-LIGHTED to be seen on the streets. 4. The application fee, upon acceptance, is NON-REFUNDABLE (this is a rain, light snow, or shine event). Please initial here:
Indemnification Clause: If my/our parade application is accepted in the 2022 Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, I/We hereby voluntarily release Chesapeake Rotary Club, City of Chesapeake and all other sponsoring organizations and individuals, the Commonwealth of Virginia, any and all of its departments, agencies, officers, or employees, and all parade committee workers from any and all liability in any way arising from injury, loss, theft and damage to person and property that might be sustained or received in connection with said parade.
