Chloride Monitoring Training Workshop

Each winter, thousands of tons of salt is spread on pavement throughout Illinois to melt snow, sleet, and ice. Much of this salt ends up in rivers and streams where it harms aquatic life. Illinois RiverWatch is providing the training and tools for volunteers across Illinois to monitor road salt pollution in local rivers and streams.
