CVM Teaching Tool Kit Series: Reinforcing Learning: How to Incorporate Starting Pauses
Pausing for 2-3 minutes during a lecture/clinical teaching can significantly increase short-term memory and embed knowledge into students’ long-term memory. Join this session to see examples of how pausing at the start of teaching can provide an opportunity to focus attention, use predictions, and assess previous knowledge.
