Participant Expectation, Accessibility & Photo Release

  • A. IRFC workshops are interactive, participants must be present and remain engaged throughout the entirety of the workshop. Failure to abide by workshop expectations will result in denied access to the workshop, and forfeiture of workshop fees. 1. Workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. EST and end at 4:30 p.m. EST. Attendees must arrive on time for workshops. 2. Participation by all workshop attendees is mandatory. 3. Participants are to uphold confidentiality. No recordings of any kind are permitted.

  • B. I grant to Child Advocates, Inc., its employees and its representatives, permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video or other digital media ("the photo" or "the photos") in any or all of its publications, including web-based publications, or for any other legal purpose without payment or consideration paid to me for the likeness.

  • C. I irrevocably authorize Child Advocates, Inc. to copyright, use ,edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute the photos for purposes of publicity, illustration, advertising or for any lawful purpose in print or electronically. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the photos after alteration but before publication. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or compensation arising or relating to the use of the photo.

I agree to hold Child Advocates, Inc. harmless and release and forever discharge Child Advocates, Inc. from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate (including parents if subject is a minor) have or may have by reason of this release.

  • E. I have read and understand the above agreement. I affirm that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age or, if I am under eighteen (18) years of age, I have obtained the required consent of my parent/guardian as evidenced by his/her signature below.

  • Force Majeure Clause and Covid 19 Safety Guidelines 1. I understand that the goal of Child Advocates is to conduct the IRFC workshop live while ensuring the health and safety of all participants. 2. As a participant in the workshop, I agree to abide by all public health requirements existing at the time of the event including but not limited to maintaining social distancing, wearing a mask, and not attending the workshop if I test positive for Covid 19, have symptoms, or have been recently exposed to Covid 19. Should the event location have requirements for masks or social distancing beyond the current public health requirements, I also agree to abide by the locations requirements.

  • 3. I understand that neither Child Advocates or I, as participant in the workshop, shall be held liable or responsible to the other nor be deemed to have breached this Agreement for failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any obligation under this Agreement when such failure or delay is caused by or results from causes beyond the reasonable control of the affected party, including but not limited to fire, floods, embargoes, war, acts of war, insurrections, riots, strikes, lockouts, other labor disturbances, or acts of God; provided, however, that the party so affected shall use reasonable efforts to avoid or remove such causes of nonperformance, and shall continue performance hereunder with reasonable dispatch whenever such causes are removed. Either party shall provide the other party with prompt written notice of any delay or failure to perform that occurs by reason of force majeure.

  • 4. I understand that Child Advocates, Inc. reserves the option to conduct the workshop virtually on the same dates and times as the scheduled in person workshop should a public health event such as Covid, or another force majeure, prevent the IRFC workshop from occurring in person. The option for virtual events allows Child Advocates to continue to perform under the contract and remove the barrier caused by the force majeure event. 5. If I am unable to attend the event in person or virtually on the date originally scheduled I shall have the option to register for another session that is scheduled within six (6) months of the originally scheduled date. 6. I understand that no refunds will be issued for converting a workshop from live to virtual in the event that change is the result of a force majeure.
