Retreat Description:Learn how to identify the sacred trees of the Utes in the Black Forest area. What was their spirituality? How can we appreciate and reverance creation in our lives now?

   Sister Jan Ginzkey, OSB has managed the Monastery forest for over 30 years.  Along with fire mitigation and the removing diseased trees she has learned to appreciate God's presence and peace in our forest. She has studied and learned about the sacred trees and is excited to share this knowledge. Sister Jan also     helped to create the meditation paths and prayer sites throughout our property.
