Join us for a half day conference designed for businesses with 50 or fewer employees*  on workplace health promotion.  Find out how you can improve the health of your employees, boost productivity, decrease employee turnover and improve your company’s bottom line.  This half day conference will give attendees a comprehensive overview of how to build a program in their workplace and how to take advantage of free, low-cost and community resources.

8:15-9:00- Keynote- Fundamentals of Small Business Wellness Programs- Mari Ryan of Advancing Wellness- This presentation will discuss the needs and realities of implementing wellness programs in small businesses.

9:00-9:45- Healthy Maine Partnerships- Anne Tricomi of Healthy Casco Bay- Cumberland County Healthy Maine Partnerships (HMPs) have numerous free resources available to worksites, whether or not you have a worksite wellness team. 

9:45-10:00- Stretch Break & Networking

10:00-10:45- Small Business Case Study- Becky Cote of Mountain Machine Works- Find out what one small business with fewer than 25 employees has done to improve the health of their employees. 

10:45- 11:30- Medical Self-Care Programs: A Good First Step for the Small Employer- Bill McPeck, Certified Worksite Wellness Program Consultant- Learn tips for encouraging employees to be good advocates for their health and reduce their out-of-pocket medical costs.

11:30-Noon- Practical Tips for Small Businesses- Willow Sherwood of the Wellness Council of Maine
