Sang and Sur: the Practice of Offerings with Lama Konchok Sonam 

Our daily practice is such an important part of our lives.   As we accumulate wisdom and merit for the benefit of
all sentient beings, we are also purifying our karmic debt and other negativity.  Did you know it is also important to keep our homes clear of negativity as well?

We can learn how to purify and cleanse our homes of negative energy through the practice of Offering of Sang and Sur.  Sang is a smoke offering, which is generally made to mountain, river, and local deities.  Sur is a “smell” offering, often consisting of grains, dairy, etc. which is burnt as an offering to ghosts, spirits, and the like with whom we have karmic debts.

Please join Venerable Lama Konchok Sonam for a one-day retreat.  During the retreat, Lama will teach us the proper timing, use, and techniques for making these offerings.

 Biography
 Venerable Lama Konchok Sonam is the Spiritual Director
 of the Drikung Meditation Center. Born in Lhasa, Tibet,
 Lama Sonam began his Buddhist training when young
 within the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
