SCORE Vancouver
SCORE Chapter 0566

This SCORE seminar is designed to cover some of the very first topics you need to research and answer before you consider jumping into business ownership.  We'll start with an exercise that will perfect your "Elevator Pitch" about your concept and move quickly to a discussion of entrepreneurial myths and realities.  We'll look at statistics on why businesses fail and, more importantly, ways of avoiding becoming one of those statistics.

And before we conclude, we'll look at the "Nuts & Bolts" of getting started and review some important basics on business planning.

Takeaways from this Seminar/Workshop:

  • What’s a Good Business idea, what’s a bad one?
  • Consider the critical factors of business success?
  • Where do I find information on licenses, taxes, forms and types of entities?
  • Gain valuable business planning tools and learn where you can get help.

This seminar is offered free to the public through the generous support of the Friends of the Longview Library and the volunteers of the Vancouver Chapter of SCORE.
