What is Twelfth Night?
Twelfth Night is the the eve of Epiphany, which commemorates the visit of the Magi to Jesus. It is the night leading into the twelfth and final day of the Christmas season.
From as early as the Middle Ages, Twelfth Night has been the occasion to have a huge get-together to celebrate the gift of God’s Son and send Christmas out with a bang. People would come from far and near to be together with their families and friends for a wonderful evening of feasting, dancing, and mummer’s plays.
Attire: Medieval or Modern Formal.
For dancers ages thirteen through adult.
There will be a beginner's lesson before the ball begins, at 5:30 p.m.
Early bird rate: $20 per person, or $55 for a family pass. After December 16th, $23 per person and $60 for a family pass. Some work scholarships available; contact Laura for details.
Limited to 200 dancers.
Please bring a plate of treats to share.
