Join Director Jeffrey Vaillant for the fifth California Genealogical Society research tour to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Whether you have visited before or this is your first time, you will enjoy your week at the best public genealogy library in the United States.
Jeff will provide individualized attention in Ft. Wayne to help you with your research problems. Planning meetings can be arranged by phone or in person prior to the trip.
The Allen County Public Library (ACPL) is the home of PERSI (PERiodical Source Index), searchable on
Ancestry.com or HeritageQuest. ACPL has over 513,000 rolls of microfilm and 55,000 compiled genealogy volumes, an impressive collection of state and territorial censuses, and many other resources unique to this library. Search their online catalog at: http://smartcat.acpl.lib.in.us/.
Space is limited to fifteen participants. To ensure the minimum tour requirement of ten participants is met, a $300 deposit is required by June 30, 2011. Final payment due by July 15, 2011. Cost (airfare not included): $950, double occupancy; single add $450. Commuter (no lodging) $475.

Cancellation & Refunds: All cancellations must be made in writing. Deposit less administrative fee of $25 will be refunded if written cancellation is received before July 15, 2011. If cancellation notice is received after July 15, the $300 deposit will be forfeited and no refunds will be given. (It is suggested that you purchase trip insurance if you feel cancellation is a possibility.) If the tour is cancelled due to lack of participation, all fees will be refunded.
