Fall 2012 Beginning Genealogy Series

The Oakland Family Search Library will host the California Genealogical Society's 2012 Beginning Genealogy Series. This seven-week series will focus on gathering family records, organizing them, and beginning to use libraries and online resources to document research.

This course is limited to 30 participants.  Pre-registration is required.  

All classes are on Tuesdays are last for 90 minutes: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE:
 Basic computer skills are required; this is a computer-based class.
Students will use a genealogical database program and do Internet searches.

 Class size limited to the first 30 participants who register. 
 $10 off of $40 membership to CGS if submitted by October 30.
 Weekly assignments will be given.
 After most classes the instructor and library volunteers can help you put your knowledge into action.
 You are invited to bring lunch and work on class assignments in the afternoon.
 Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
