Yoga for Menopause

Menopause. Nobody likes it, especially its symptoms, such as hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain and forgetfulness. The good news: Yoga can help! In this class, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of menopause, discover the yoga poses that can alleviate its symptoms, and learn how to modify the poses for your body type and health issues.

Suzy Pennington, founder/director of Susquehanna Yoga & Meditation

Suzy is a 60-year-old certified Iyengar Yoga teacher who has studied yoga with the Iyengar family in India and with most of the senior teachers here in the United States. She brings 17 years teaching experience and her sense of humor to explore and understand each person. Suzy is the founder and director of Susquehanna Yoga & Meditation in Timonium, one of Baltimore’s original yoga studios.
