Along the Missouri River
Wednesday, July 29
Jesuit Hall in Historic Downtown Washington
On Wednesday, July 29, join friends, colleagues and leaders from throughout Missouri River Country for a high-impact workshop dedicated to stimulating economic development by focusing on the region’s natural assets. We will address opportunities for the last 100 miles of the Missouri River – from Hermann to the Confluence. How can we do more to bring visitors, residents and entrepreneurs to our historic river towns? What can we do to enhance the experiences of visitors to the Missouri River, Katy Trail State Park, Busch Conservation Area, Shaw Nature Reserve, the Daniel Boone Home, our agricultural and viticultural areas, and the Confluence?
7:30 a.m.: Coffee and a light breakfast
8:15 a.m.: Conference begins with a video welcome by Senator Kit Bond
This fast-paced workshop features 20 original presentations and will include representatives from: the Missouri Humanities Council; Missouri-American Water; Missouri State Parks; Nine Network of Public Media; Missouri Grape and Wine Board; St. Louis Regional Chamber; University of Pennsylvania; Missouri Department of Agriculture; St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission; Trailside Companies, Northampton, Massachusetts; Katy Bike Rental; Missouri Botanical Garden; Render Writing Services; Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition; and civic leaders and entrepreneurs from Warren, St. Charles, Franklin and Gasconade Counties.
