Keynote Speaker : Ruth Darlene   

 

Ruth Darlene is the Founder and CEO of Women of Silicon Valley/WomenSV.

 

Under Ruth's leadership, WomenSV has served over 1400 clients who were trapped in relationships with powerful, wealthy abusers. Her talk will be about ""The trials, tribulations and success of the non-profit journey in reaching their vision and mission and building a solid foundation for the future": Stories to learn from. The talk will also include the recommendations she has for other nonprofits based upon her experience and how SCORE helped her achieve WomenSV mission. 

 

Breakout Session Speaker: Mary Ann Burke

Mary Ann Burke has served as a credentialed parent educator and fund development adjunct professor for over thirty years in California schools.

 

Breakout Session Speaker: John Edwards

 

v  Board governance – characteristics of a high functioning board

 

Dr. John Edwards has over 30 years of management experience with both for-profit and nonprofit businesses including more than 20 years’ experience as a SCORE counselor, mentor and lecturer.

 

Breakout session Speaker: Susan Hayes

 

v  Leadership development – the roles of Executive Director and the Board Chair

 

From 1996 to 2015 Susan Hayes served as president & CEO of nonprofit ReSurge International (formerly Interplast, Inc.).
