T
hursday, October 19th at 7:30am at Town Hall.

We need YOU there to officially elect the following candidates to serve as a Board Member starting January 2018!

The Chapin Chamber Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee present the following slate of new board members for a three-year term (2018-2020) for your consideration:

Nicholle Burroughs, RILE Enterprises
Nicholle currently serves on the Board as Chair-Elect and will renew to serve an additional three year term.  She will serve as Chairwoman January 2018 - December 2018.

Michael Vidal, Assistant Store Manager, Publix Chapin Crossing
Michael will replace Scott Macfarland beginning January 2018.

Crystal Ridgell, Branch Manager, BB&T Bank
Crystal is currently serving, having joined as a replacement to fill a temporary vacancy.  She will renew to serve her own three year term which will begin January 2018.

Elizabeth B. Gierhart, Owner of Elizabeth B. Gierhart CPA LLC
Elizabeth will replace Laura Huggins, and will work alongside Duane Carter who currently serves and will continue to serve as the Treasurer through December of 2018.  Beth will take over as Treasurer in January of 2019 when Duane rotates off the board.

In addition to our normal business meeting, Representative Chip Huggins will give us a legislative update, and John Goodale, a Lexington/Richland 5 District teacher and coach will give a brief presentation on a program called Building Bridges Leadership Institute.  This program will target active student leaders in our schools, as well as those who have the potential, but for various reasons have not pursued the leadership opportunities either due to lack of confidence, economic status, race, etc.

Not only will you be able to hear these informative presentations and cast your vote to elect the new board members, this will be your first opportunity to make nominations for our Annual Chamber awards, which will be presented to the winners at our Annual Awards Gala on November 17th!

We will have a variety of delicious breakfast offerings from Chapin's own, Sonic Drive-In, and fresh fruit, coffee and juices courtesy of Shelia Veach of Small Packages, LLC.

This is sure to be a great meeting and the perfect way to start your morning!
