When Discrimination Comes Home:
the Aftermath of the Charlottesville Riots on a Learning Community”

After the events of August 11th and 12th, 2017, the academic medical community at the University of Virginia was left angry and traumatized.  However, after the riots and violence ceased it became clear that all members of this community were not impacted equally.  Old wounds and current discrimination came to light in honest dialogue that had been lacking.  This presentation will share how this community of learners began to move beyond the sensational headlines to heal and grow.

A boxed lunch will be ovided for all registrants.

Please register below by Friday, January 25, 2019.
