Dr. Greg Moller, Professor of Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology, University of Idaho.  Biochemical Control Agents in Agriculture: The Case for Sustainability

Dr. Moller's group conducts translational, trans-disciplinary research to  advance the  goals of sustainability by developing new knowledge and  innovations in the area of  sustainable solutions for water resources.  They  have had considerable impact on  individuals, communities, and  environmental quality in a regional, national, and  international context.  This  work has resulted in five US patents issued and licensed  in the past  five  years for new approaches for sustainable water treatment where we  successfully engineered reactive filtration processes that are modeled on  nature.

Dr. Chris Becker, Research Scientist and President, BAAR Scientific LLC.  Pests of Northeast Crops; What’s out there and what are typical methods used to conduct efficacy studies.

Dr. Becker began conducting applied agricultural research as the Plant Pathologist responsible for the Massachusetts IPM program on apples in 1981.   He     researched  the ecology and biology of apple scab for his PhD at Cornell (at NYS  Agricultural  Experiment Station)  He remained at the NYSAES for 3years as a  Research  Associate where he researched the major grape diseases.  In 2003, he formed BAAR Scientific  LLC in order to conduct applied agricultural research on the agricultural and ornamental crops in the Northeastern US.  Over 30% of his research has been with biopesticides.

Dr. Roma Gwynn, Director, Rationale - Biopesticide Strategists. Biocontrol Agent Manual – A New Resource for the IPM Toolbox.

 Dr. Gwynn has worked in crop protection with the agriculture and  horticulture  industry for over 25 years, specialising in biopesticides  since  1989. She has  worked on a wide range of protected and  broad  acre crops  and their associated  pest and diseases.

 A member of the IBMA, she participates actively within the industry to address issues and to promote biorational products.

Dr. Hong Chen, Director, Asia-Pacific Affairs, Technology Sciences Group. Biopesticides in China, Problems and Promise

 Dr. Chen focuses on developing and managing international collaborative  projects  involving EPA and FDA regulated products, including agrochemicals,  consumer  products and antimicrobials. She also provides regulatory  compliance support and  audits for Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good  Manufacturing Practices  (GMP). 

 Dr. Chen specializes in providing management and support for various  consulting  projects in Asia, with a particular emphasis in China. Her significant experience with both Chinese and U.S. regulatory systems allows her to provide seamless assistance between western companies conducting business in China and Chinese companies doing business in the United States.
