Courtney Campbell Trail
Grand Opening

About the Trail
The Florida Department of Transportation is currently constructing the Courtney Campbell Trail, a nine mile paved pedestrian and bicycle trail that will span the entire length of the Courtney Campbell Causeway.   The trail is located on the south side of the Causeway & when completed will include two free-standing bridges that offer panoramic views from as high as 45 ft. above Tampa Bay.

The first segment of the trail, a six mile section from Rocky Point to the Hillsborough County line opens in November.   The remaining three mile section from the Hillsborough County line to Bayshore Blvd. in Clearwater is scheduled to open in 2015.

Along with offering spectacular waterfront views, the trail links recreational areas such as Cypress Point Park, Skyway Park, and Ben T. Davis Beach with the well-developed trail systems in Hillsborough County. This is a truly unique recreational amenity for local residents and visitors.

***Weather Update*** This is a rain or shine event please dress appropriately. In the event of severe weather (i.e. lightning) the ceremony may be delayed.
