Fleisher From a Distance: Street Photography Lecture with Rick Wright

The art of street photography has a wonderful and deep history, with myriad successful practitioners. Join photographer and Fleisher darkroom instructor Rick Wright for a portfolio lecture on six such photographers. Rick will compare and contrast styles, include both color and black & white imagery, and give tips on good technique in-the-field. Photographers up for discussion: Vivian Meyer, Robert Frank, Saul Leiter, Lisette Model, Joel Meyerowtiz, and Ray Metzger.

Rick Wright's work has been widely exhibited, including shows at Wall Space Gallery (Seattle), the Center for Emerging Visual Artists, Perkins Center for the Arts, Silicon Gallery, Grounds for Sculpture, and the Museum of Modern Art, among many others. Additionally, Wright's work appears in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and Johnson & Johnson Corporation. He holds a masters of fine arts in painting from Columbia University, a bachelor of arts in art & archaeology/fine art from Princeton University and a certificate from the International Center of Photography.
