Cultural Symbolism in Murals / Simbolismo Cultural en los Murales

The new mural overlooking Fleisher's parking lot, sponsored by DaVinci Art Alliance and Mural Arts Philadelphia, was executed by two talented local artists: Samantha Kovnat and Maria Roman. In this talk with both artists along with Mural Arts' chief operating officer and poet/artist Magda Martinez, we will discuss the function of murals in Philadelphia as well as the inclusion of cultural imagery in the artists' own mural. This program will be conducted in English.
