Pop Arts: Patches and Mending (grades 9-12) with Daisy Diamond

Students will learn basic sewing stitches and how to attach patches to clothing. Students will look at examples of different ways to attach patches, different patch styles/materials, and more. We will talk about where clothing comes from, why it matters, and the complex relationship between individual consumer practices and systemic changes and redistribution of power.

Pop Arts are Fleisher's new online Saturday workshops, featuring fun and engaging art-making experiences for young artists in grades K-12. Carefully designed by our talented teaching artists, each Pop Arts workshop runs for 90 minutes. Young artists and their families are encouraged to sign up for as many workshops as they want!

Each workshop is offered with a suggested donation of $10-$15. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Pop Arts will be hosted on Zoom, and you will receive a link to join once you complete your registration.
